NEW ACADEMIC PROGRAMS The JWU Denver Campus announced new and exciting bachelor of science programs that are in direct response to growing and expanding industries. Debuting this year is Media and Communication Studies, Liberal Studies and Counseling Psychology. Admissions is currently recruiting for the 2015 slate of new majors, including Urban Studies, Applied or Organizational Psychology, and Beverage Industry Operations and Retail Management. Undergraduate students can get a head start on their MBA degree through the 4+1 program by taking up to three graduate-level classes during their senior year at no additional cost — earning their MBA one year after completing their bachelor's degree program. This 4+1 option is available for the traditional MBA and the MBA with hospitality concentration programs. Learn more. A CLOSER LOOK AT CAMPUS DINING Over the last several years, the Denver Campus has enhanced the experience, choice and variety of dining services. One such improvement is the permanent addition of the Balanced U station. Available during every meal, Balanced U allows students to choose from a variety of healthful, flavorful, nutrient-rich foods. Also new this year, students can view the menu in advance on the "App on Campus." Through this app, students can also see nutritional content for each meal station. Tell your student to check it out. Lucas Zoumas, director of dining services, meets monthly with members of the Student Government Association to ensure that student voices, as they relate to dining, are being heard. "I encourage all of our students to come directly to me about any concerns in the dining hall," said Zoumas. "I also remind them not to forget to share the positive feedback, too." Lucas Zoumas, director of dining services, and Executive Chef Kristen Bethel at the Balanced U station. CAMPUS NEWS denver
