2014 JOIN.WORK.UNITE. DAY
More than 350 Wildcats volunteered their time at various nonprofit
organizations in the South Florida area as part of Join.Work.Unite.,
an annual day of service on the North Miami Campus. Students,
staff and faculty helped to build a new playground for underserved
children, served meals to the homeless, read to pre-K children, and
cared for abandoned animals.
"Join.Work.Unite. is an amazing opportunity to become more
connected with my community," says Ashley McCalla '14. "This
program enables us to experience North Miami culture while
servicing those less fortunate. Whether it's picking up garbage or
feeding the homeless, you'll be sure to get a huge dose of humility
all while having fun with your peers."

experiences via social media.
Sports/Entertainment/Event Management students and faculty
helped the AARP Foundation and Miami Dolphins pack one million
meals to help feed underserved seniors in the Miami area. Community
service is at the heart of the Wildcat Way. For the 2013–14 academic
year, students at the North Miami Campus performed 36,916 hours of
community service.
