DEAR JWU FAMILIES, It's been three-and-a-half years since our sons Cameron '15 and Damon '15 began their journey south to attend school at JWU's North Miami Campus. Coming from southern New Hampshire, where they've lived thus far as country boys, it was going to be quite an adjustment. Our connection to JWU came through the United States Challenge Cup, a junior golf tour in New England based in our neighboring state of Rhode Island. Knowing and trusting the son of the Challenge Cup's founder and former Wildcats coach Dave Adamonis Jr., we were confident in our sons' decision to apply to JWU. From our first step working with Admissions to moving them into the residence hall, we knew they were going to be just fine in Miami. We had the opportunity to attend Family Weekend this year, and it was an experience every parent should take advantage of. You can pick and choose from a full menu of activities and experience what your son or daughter sees year-round. The golf portion of the weekend was a blast for all families. We were so happy to see the boys play in the Dave Adamonis Sr. Invitational at Trump National Doral. Staying nearby at the Newport Beach Resort has been a great experience for us. It's located right on the beach, and the hospitality and staff make for a great stay. Our involvement with JWU has been centered mostly on the golf program. Our sons have benefited from the commitment of being part of the team — focusing on hard work and the relationships and friendships they have built through the years. Head Coach A.J. Broderick and Chris Hawley, assistant coach, do an exceptional job with JWU's student athletes. They have played an integral part in the success of both of our sons' college experience. We are proud to be a part of JWU. Best regards, Russell and Melissa Salo
