called one of the best liberos in the country, will finish her career third all-time at UW in both total digs
and digs per set. She currently leads the team and
ranks seventh in the Big Ten with 3.71 digs per set,
a stat she led the conference in both her sophomore

Sheffield said no one spends more time in the gym
or competes harder than Hickey ― as much as her

people to feel like Annmarie is still here and that
my legacy ― what I did for this team, how I helped
bring it together, my mental and physical toughness
and how I fought to compete everyday ― lives on."
Hickey will play her final regular-season match at
the UW Field House on Sunday against Ohio State,
wrapping up a memorable career that she hopes
will have a lasting impact on the program to which

Though her career is winding down, Hickey is not
ready to rest on her laurels just yet. She has her eyes
set on a run through the NCAA tournament.
