ith the graduation
of four seniors and
the influx of three incoming freshmen plus a junior

chael Burcin said. "We are
two years in, and our first
full recruiting class begins in
September.
"Our first group of guys
graduated this past May, we
have a new indoor practice
facility and we had our golf
course restoration completed."
UW welcomes the No. 1

player in Wisconsin in Ben Skogen of
Onalaska, the No. 1 player in South
Carolina in Richard Hubbard of Daniel Island, and one of the top eight
players in Illinois in Tommy Schofield of Mundelein.
In addition, redshirt junior Jack
Watson, who sat out last year after
transferring from Kent State, will
take his first swings as a Badger.
The new players will join a veteran group which includes three-year
letterwinner Rob Jacobsen, twoyear letterwinners Zach Balit, Eric
Schremp, Thomas O'Bryan and John
Gullberg, and first-time year letterwinner Matt Ross.
"The three guys that transferred
into our program in Zach, John and
Jack all came from very successful
programs in South Carolina, Illinois,
and Kent State, respectively," Burcin
said.
"Our three incoming freshmen
have been successful on a national
level. We're enjoying a steady stream
of these types of players that will
continue our momentum. I am unbelievably excited to get started in September."
The team will enjoy the first season of restored greens at University
Ridge Golf Course as well as the new,
state-of-the-art indoor practice facility, which opened in November at
University Ridge.
The Badgers will also host their
first home competition at University
Ridge since hosting the 2005 Big Ten
Championship when they play host
to the Badger Invitational Sept. 2930.
