Along with a 50 » VARSITY JUN E 20, 2013 top-heavy group, head coach John Trask has his sights set on shaking up the Big Ten with the return of pair of All-America hopefuls in Tomislav Zadro, the 2011 first-team All-Big Ten honoree and aforementioned senior who sat last season due to injury, and junior A.J. Cochran. @BadgerMSoccer Zadro returns after leading the Badgers in points (20) and goals (6) during his junior campaign. Cochran, who spent the summer competing with the U20 U.S. National Team, started all 19 games for UW as a sophomore. Trask believes the tandem will have an All-America worthy season, while also providing UW with the leadership necessary to make its mark in the ultra-competitive Big Ten. "To have two players of the quality of A.J. and Tomo (Tomislav) gives all of our guys an added boost for the upcoming season," Trask said. "Both of them are primed to have big seasons for us, and their energy and success will only fuel the rest of the team's fire." After posting shutouts in all six of its spring games, the Badgers will rely heavily on Cochran to bring that same intensity and consistency from the defender position into 2013. Despite suffering a knee injury early last season, Zadro has the skill and technical abilities to be regarded as one of the best attacking players in the Big Ten. "AJ and Tomo join a very veteran squad that is hungry for success," Trask added. "Their consistency and high level of play will help us to realize our goals for 2013."
