Closing out a career
Andrea Kirchberg pitched her last game as a Badger in a 3-2 win over Minnesota. Kirchberg set UW career records in 13 different categories, including earned run average (1.29), wins (87), complete games (114), shutouts (36) and strikeouts (1,156).
May 5, 1987 MIXING IT UP: Mike Larson played all nine positions in a single game for the UW baseball team against Carroll College in a 24-6 Badger victory. He changed positions every inning.

ROWING TO VICTORY: The men's varsity eight was victorious in a triangular meet on the Charles River in Boston, Mass. The crew team finished in a time of 5:56.23, de- feating Boston University and MIT.
