'' BADGERS Ask The 20 » VARSITY MAY 3, 2012 Who is the most famous person from your high school? Question of the Week: CONOR O'NEILL • JUNIOR • FOOTBALL St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.): "Michael Irvin or Brian Piccolo. Michael was a great wide receiver in the NFL, one of the best of all time. He played in college at Miami. In high school, we used to watch Brian's Song two or three times a year. I knew that (Piccolo) was a really good player. He went to Wake Forest and then played for the Bears. Our high school field is named after him." TIERA STEPHEN • JUNIOR • WOMEN'S BASKETBALL Chaminade-Julienne Catholic (Ohio): "Tamika Williams. She won a couple championships with UConn as a basketball player. She then played in the WNBA and is now an assistant coach at the University of Kansas. As a basketball player going to my high school, I always looked up to her." ALEXANDER TEPPERT • SOPHOMORE • MEN'S TENNIS Allen D. Nease (Fla.): "Tim Tebow. Because of him, the rules were changed and home-schooled students were allowed to compete for the high school that they were zoned for. This was important for me because of my desire to compete for my former high school team after I left to begin online school. It was important to me to still be able to compete for my former high school, and it was made possible by Tim Tebow." OLIVIA HOFF • JUNIOR • WOMEN'S SOCCER Whitefish Bay (Wis.): "The two that are the most famous are actress Kristen Johnson and former MLB player Craig Counsell. Kristen Johnson played Sally Solomon on 3rd Rock From the Sun and has been in other movies and TV shows. There is a plaque with her picture outside the auditorium at the high school. Craig Counsell played for 15 years and won two World Series with the Rockies and the Diamondbacks and was NLCS MVP in 2001. He ended his career with the Brewers and retired this year."
