ALL-BIELEMA TEAM
MAKING THE CUT
The Badgers have churned out plenty of great players since Bret Bielema took over the UW football program. But who's the best? We left that question to you.
O
ver the past six seasons — since Bret Bielema took over as head coach of the Badgers — fans of Wisconsin football have watched the program churn out 16 play-
ers that earned All-America honors — including 11 that were named first-team All-Americans. In the last five NFL drafts, a total of 16 UW
players have been selected. That number will grow in a big way this year, with a school-record eight players invited to the 2012 NFL Scouting Combine — the second most of any school in the nation. The Badgers have had finalists for the Heis- man Trophy, Doak Walker Award, John Mack- ey Award, Rimington Trophy, Ted Hendricks Award, Manning Award and Lou Groza Award. In addition, Scott Tolzien won the Johnny Unitas
Golden Arm Award, J.J. Watt won the Lott IM- PACT trophy, and Gabe Carimi and Joe Thomas both won the Outland Trophy. So, who's the best to play for the Badgers in
the Bielema Era? Well, we left that question to you. Using the Wisconsin Football Facebook page, fans voted for the best player of the past six seasons at each position. Some tough choices there, huh? Tough enough, in fact, that a number of play- ers who have gone on to play in the NFL didn't even sniff inclusion on the All-Bielema Team. Garrett Graham was a distant third in the vot-
ing at tight end, while other pros — like FB Chris Pressley, LT Carimi, RG Kraig Urbik and QB Scott Tolzien — didn't make the cut, either. Flip the page to see your choices. It's a pretty impressive group.
