Alando Tucker and Brian Butch both scored 20 points in the first half as Wisconsin defeated
No. 2-ranked Pittsburgh, 89-75. It was just the third time in school history UW had beaten
the No. 2 team in the country.

HOME SWEET HOME: After construction began in the winter of 1929, the UW Field
House was dedicated and began its 68-year stint as the home to Badger sports. The
men���s basketball team beat Pennsylvania, 25-12, in front of a sellout crowd of 8,600 to
officially dedicate the building.
December 19, 1998
HOSTING THE BIG GAME: Wisconsin hosted the finals of the 1998 NCAA Division 1
Volleyball Championships at the Kohl Center. Long Beach State won the national title
by defeating Penn State, 3-2, in front of a single-match record crowd of 13,194.
