Question of the Week:
When did you first know you
might have the chance to be a
collegiate athlete?
CARLY VOGEL
 SOPHOMORE WOMENS SOCCER
Ever since I started playing for my club, FC Milwaukee, I knew that
the end goal for most of the players was to play collegiate soccer. I
realized that I might have the chance once I started going with my
older sister Alyssa on some of her college visits and decided that it
was something I really wanted to do.
 SENIOR MENS BASKETBALL
I always believed that I would have a chance to be a college athlete,
sports have been an integral part of my life since I was 3 years of age.
However, I was not aware that basketball would be my preferred sport
until my first year playing, which was seventh grade.
HANNAH BERNER
 SENIOR WOMENS TENNIS
I have always dreamed of becoming the best tennis player that
I could be, with high expectations to make it as far as I can in my
sport. I began playing national tournaments at the age of 11, so
it was a natural progression to play in college by the time I was
a teenager. At first, it was hard to imagine playing an individual
sport like tennis on a team. But when I was 17, I was playing in a
national tournament where many college coaches came to scout.
Wisconsins coach, Brian Fleishman, immediately took notice of
my playing style and called me for a visit. The rest is history.
