INSIDE MENS HOCKEY

Reward for hard work
Three points at DU brings optimism
T
here is no question the
team is working hard
each day, but the expected
results were just not materializing as fast as the Badgers
and those following the program would like to see.
Some of those results
started to come last weekend
as the Badgers visited thenNo. 5 Denver and took three
points.
Now the Badgers finish up
2012 with four consecutive
games at the Kohl Center.
One of the reasons these
next four games are important is [to] let our own fans
see that live, and score some
goals, said head coach Mike
Eaves. I think another reason is that we can pull up
58 VARSITY
D EC E M B E R 6, 2012
and get in closer to .500. I
think our next, most tangible
goal is to do that. If we can
play well and get some Ws,
we have a chance to do that.
Zengerle returns?

Junior
forward
Mark
Zengerle has been out of
action since Nov. 3, and
after making the trip to
Denver, appears poised to
make a return this weekend from a broken finger.
Zengerle had two goals
and six points in six games
played before the injury.
