"I always looked at coach- ing as a way to give back to the game,'' Krabbenhoft said, "and give back to the players so they can experi- ence what I did. Playing for Coach Ryan – and figuring out how to be successful at this level – is going to kind of pave my way to what kind of coach I'm going to be.''

ca, Krabbenhoft's agent called with a playing op- portunity with CB Breogna, a pro team based out of Lugo, a beautiful city in the northwest part of Spain. The contract was faxed to Krabbenhoft and he signed up for another European tour of duty. "Loved it,'' Krabbenhoft said. "The team made the playoffs and I had a good year.'' But there was one variable to going back for an- other year; the decision to start a family. "Family is first in my life,'' he said. Speaking for Sara, he added, "we just wanted to be in the United States.''
