BREAKING DOWN THE OFFENSE KEVIN ZEITLER »» RG "My job is to push them," Bostad said. "If I sat there and gave them an excuse for every single thing, 'Well, that guy is just having a hard day …' You know what? Nobody cares." "I really thought he had a good camp," said Bostad. "He showed me some things. When matched up against our better guys, he showed that he could handle it. "He'll be back and when we truly do get healthy, I feel like we'll have some depth." Starting right guard Kevin Zeitler has returned to full-go after missing a couple of weeks with an ankle injury. "I don't think it'll affect him much," Bostad said of the missed time. "He'll be ready to go." In Zeitler's absence, Ryan Groy took most of the snaps at guard. He's also the backup cen- ter. "Ryan showed me a level of toughness to get through camp," Bostad said. "There were times when he was doing double-du- ty; four guys would get to come off and he would stay in. "It was all part of his double- training. Getting him ready for center and feeling good about having a backup there was para- mount. He's also a viable option at left guard." Replacing Moffitt has been Travis Frederick, who's com- ing off a redshirt season. "He has some (starting) experience," Bostad said. "He's a smart, con- scientious kid. He's right where he needs to be." So is center Peter Konz, who anchors the O-line. "He's really starting to look like the whole package physically," Bostad said. "I'm really excited to see him play."
