VIDEO: FREDERICK'S COMPUTER SCIENCE ASSIGNMENT
veterans report for the OTAs next week (May 2123) at Valley Ranch. Only 53 will make the final
NFL roster.
Digesting those percentages, Frederick said,
"You can see the business end of it.''
Before taking that next Texas-sized step, he will
get his diploma Saturday in Madison.
"With both of these things happening so close
together ― the draft and graduation ― it's kind of
fitting,'' said Frederick, "knowing that football and
school have fit so well, hand-in hand.
"I think it's a tremendous
opportunity to be able to graduate from the University of
Wisconsin, especially with an
engineering degree," Frederick
said. "It's a tremendous institution and a tremendous degree."

"It has definitely been challenging being a student-athlete with the time restraints.''
Frederick knows that it's easy sometimes to stereotype athletes based on some of the academically-compromising things that have been rumored at
schools or taken place elsewhere.
"I think there's a little bit of that out there,'' he
said. "But that's definitely not how it works (at
Wisconsin). So it's definitely an accomplishment
for us to be able to walk across that stage.''
Berggren, a personal finance major, took his
last final exam Sunday morning. "It was for an
accounting class,'' he said, "and it was all about
taxes; personal and business taxation.''
After noting the complexity of the material that
was covered over the semester, he chuckled and
said, "Taxes are not much fun, as I'm sure everyone knows.''
