I will definitely reflect and
look back on how much I appreciated this segment of my
life, said Evans. In a lot of
peoples eyes, college is the
best segment.Youre going to
think about everything, and I
feel like Ive done it the right
way. I have no regrets. I dont
think I ever will with my
time here at Wisconsin.
Its going to be tough; it will definitely be an
emotional moment, Berggren said. Me and Dan
have talked about it already. Dan has been counting it down since mid-January, Guys, we only have
six home games left. Hes the one who has been
putting us in the moment.
Fahey admitted that it got really emotional for
him during the playing of the national anthem before the Feb. 17 Ohio State game. Looking around,
he couldnt help but come to the realization that I
wont have this much more since his countdown
had reached two; two home games left after the
Buckeyes.
It began to sink in for Wise while filming an interview for the annual senior video. What does it
mean to you to be a Badger? What was it like to
be a student at this university? What are you going to miss the most? They were trying to get you
emotional, he said of the questions. Did it work?
Absolutely.
Evans has begun to envision what the postgame
ceremony will be like Sunday. Agreeing that every
ending also signals a beginning, a new chapter in
each of the seniors lives, he said, A lot of great
memories from what happened in this building
will flash through my mind. I dont know how emotional I will get. But I will definitely reflect and look
back on how much I appreciated this segment of
my life. In a lot of peoples eyes, college is the best
segment. Youre going to think about everything,
and I feel like Ive done it the right way. I have no
regrets. I dont think I ever will with my time here
at Wisconsin.
During the viewing of the senior video on the
scoreboards big screen, Berggren, Bruesewitz, Evans, Fahey and Wise will be seated in chairs on the
baseline. Their teammates will be standing behind
them.
Recalling how it got harder and harder with each
graduating class knowing that he was on the clock
and moving closer and closer to taking a seat, Bruesewitz said, Its going to be weird Sunday because
you are the one sitting in the chair now. What
makes it so much harder? During that four- or
five-year window, he conceded, you kind of feel
like its going to last forever.
