INSIDE MENS HOCKEY
BY PAUL CAPOBIANCO
Full speed ahead for UW
Badgers ready to put tough loss behind them
T
heres no time to stop,
no time to gripe and
very little time to reflect.
After Wisconsin lost 3-2 in
overtime to Penn State at the
Kohl Center, Jake McCabe
summed up the mindset of
the Badgers: Its time to get
back to work.
What can you do about
it? It happened, McCabe
said. Well start rebuilding
right now and come back to
work on Wednesday.
It will have to be a quick
turnaround for the Badgers,
who play their third and
fourth games in seven days
this weekend. But the Badgers know its not an impossible turnaround. Still just
three points out of third in

the WCHA, the Badgers get
their chance to make one
final push for home ice and
their chance to return to the
NCAA at-large picture.
This is the best time of
year, and with four regular-season games left, Wisconsin has the potential
to take points from two of
the conferences top teams.
The Badgers face Nebraska
Omaha tied for third in
the WCHA this weekend,
then close against WCHAleading St. Cloud State at the
Coliseum.
I wouldnt say momentum has been lost, Mark
Zengerle said. We still control our fate as far as home
ice and going from there.

Coliseum Return
The Badgers will make the most
of their upcoming Coliseum home
series. The meaning of the games
will be high as St. Cloud State will
likely visit with MacNaughton Cup
hopes on the line, while the Badgers home ice push will make it a
playoff-type atmosphere.
