GENERAL GENERAL Cedar Avenue FRESNO STATE FOOTBALL FOR THE MEDIA ..................................................................................................................................................................................... MEDIA/PHOTO CREDENTIALS Requests for media and/orphoto credentials should be submitted online at www.gobulldogs.com/media at least 48 hours prior to the event. Since space is limited, accommodations are on the following priority basis: daily newspapers, originating radio and television stations, national weekly or monthly publications, electronic media outlets, local and regional television crews. Priority is granted to full-time employees of media entities that cover Fresno State football on a regular basis, which includes coverage of press conferences, open practices, home and road games, and to visiting media members. Freelance and amateur photographers not on assignment are not eligible for photo credentials, except by prior approval from the Fresno State Athletics Communications Office. Credentials may be picked up in the Athletics Communications Office prior to the day of the game. On game days, credentials may be picked up at the will call window of the Bulldog Ticket Office, located at the south entrance to the stadium. Non-working individuals will not be permitted in the press box. Note: Web sites that sponsor message boards, message centers or chat rooms where people are allowed to post anonymous information will not be issued credentials. If a medium has an online site that sponsors these anonymous forums, they may continue to receive credentials under its tra- ditional medium (newspaper, magazine, radio, television), but will not be granted additional passes for online staff. PHOTO REGULATIONS NCAA regulations limit the shooting of photos to an area outside a five-foot restraining area surrounding the playing field. Photographers may walk be- hind the team benches to reach the other end of the field. The Fresno State Athletics Department reserves all commercial and non-commercial rights to the use of film, videotapes and still photographs of its athletics events, student-athletes, staff and facilities. POSTGAME INTERVIEWS Head coach Pat Hill and selected players will be available in the Duncan Building Conference Room for a postgame media conference. The oppo- nent head coach and selected players may be interviewed outside the visi- tor's team locker room, located on the west side of the Duncan Building. Postgame quotes from both locker rooms will be made available to the working media after the game and will be posted on Fresno State's official website, www.gobulldogs.com. INTERVIEW POLICY Requests for interviews with players and coaches should be made through the Fresno State Media Relations Office and should be made at least 24 hours in advance to ensure availability. The Fresno State locker and training rooms are closed to the media. PAT HILL WEEKLY MEDIA CONFERENCE Coach Pat Hill's weekly media conference will be held at 11 a.m. in the Duncan Building Conference Room on Mondays during the football sea- son. The conference is open to all members of the media. The media con- ference can be viewed live or via archive on Fresno State's web site www. gobulldogs.com under the All-Access section. WAC MEDIA INFORMATION Dave Chaffin, assistant commissioner for media relations, will handle all information related to football at the Western Athletic Conference. He may be reached at (303) 799-9221 (ext. 212). WEEKLY RELEASE Fresno State's weekly release and statistical package, which includes notes and two-deep charts, is available each Monday during the football season by phoning the Fresno State Media Relations Office. It will also be available in a PDF format on Fresno State's website at gobulldogs.com. PRACTICES The Fresno State football team practices at the Valley Growers Practice Field, located immediately southwest of Bulldog Stadium. Players and coaches are available to the media 15 minutes prior to practice as they are taking the field or immediately after practice. During open practices, members of the media are asked to remain on the berm surrounding the field. Video footage may be shot during the begin- ning of practice. Please coordinate the shooting of any video with a media relations representative. DIRECTIONS TO BULLDOG STADIUM from tHe NortH: • Take State Route 99 south to the Shaw Ave. exit. Turn left on Shaw Ave. • Travel east on Shaw to Cedar Ave. (approx. 15 miles). • Turn left on Cedar, then left on Bulldog Lane. Proceed less than one block to Gate 10. from tHe soutH: • Take State Route 99 north to Freeway 41 (north -- they merge just past Jensen Ave.) • Proceed to the Shaw Ave. exit, and travel east on Shaw to Cedar Ave. (approx. 3 miles). • Turn left on Cedar, then left on Bulldog Lane. Proceed less than one block to Gate 10. from tHe fresNo Air termiNAL: • Exit the airport parking lot, turning right at the signal. • Follow the curve (Clinton Ave.) to Cedar Ave. • Turn right on Cedar. Proceed approximately five miles to Bulldog Lane. Turn left and proceed less than one block to Gate 10. Bulldog Stadium Shaw Avenue Barstow Avenue Bulldog Ln. During closed practices, interviews still may be conducted before and after practice. However, once practice begins, members of the media will be asked to remain outside the fence surrounding the facility. During the regular season, only Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday practices are open. The head coach or a Fresno State media relations representative has the prerogative to close any practice at anytime. Please contact the Fresno State Media Relations Office to confirm the open/closed status of practices. BULLDOG STADIUM PRESS BOX The Bulldog Stadium press box is located on the west side of the sta- dium above the seating bowl on the second level. The press box opens three hours prior to kickoff and remains open as long as necessary following the game. PARKING Media parking at Bulldog Stadium is available on a limited basis and requires a pass. The media parking will be available at three locations, through Gate 10 off of Bulldog Lane at the Lexus Blue Lot (blue pass required), off Ninth Street (media parking pass required), across Bull- dog Lane approximately one block south of the stadium, or in the Gray Lot (pass required), located next to Bulldog Diamond on the east side of Cedar Avenue. Space is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis for each lot. Those planning to use media parking should plan ac- cordingly. TELEPHONES Four telephone lines are available on the lower press row on a first-come, first-served basis. Those wishing to reserve their own telephone equip- ment should make their arrangements through the Fresno State Commu- nications Office (559-278-5000). Please inform the Fresno State Media Relations Office if you have ordered your own phone line(s). Fresno State provides four courtesy lines (including one ISDN line) for each school's designated radio station. INTERNET SERVICES Bulldog Stadium offers wireless internet connectivity on gameday. Please check with the media relations staff to acquire the necessary username and passwords for access. SERVICES Complete team and individual statistics by quarter, play-by-play and postgame statistical packages, including quotes and notes, will be pro- vided to each member of the working media. After the conclusion of the game, final statistics will be delivered to the Duncan Building interview room as soon as they are available. In addition, scores of other college games are provided before, during and after the game. Media can utilize the press box for as long as necessary following the game.
