The Bulldogs have been one of the most watched WAC teams over the last four years and will once again be a strong presence on ESPN or ESPN2 in 2011. The Bulldogs have made over 60 national appearances on the network since 2000, among the most in the nation. RADIO Every Fresno State football game is broadcast live throughout the San Joaquin Valley on KMJ 580 AM. KMJ Sports Director Paul Loeffler is in his third season calling Bulldog football games and is joined in the booth by former Bulldog quarterback Jordan Christensen. Ralph Wood and Steve Gonzales will report from the sidelines. KMJ's extensive game-day coverage begins with a 90-minute call-in show, "'Dog Talk," and is followed by "Countdown to Kickoff," a 30-minute pre-game show. The "Bulldog Review" postgame show follows each game broadcast. Studio host for postgame "'Dog Talk" is Steve Gonzales and Alexan Balekian will be part of the broadcast team. Chris Basham is engineer in charge of KMJ's game broadcasts. For the eighth straight year Bulldog games are available in Spanish. ESPN Deportes 1600 AM is the Hispanic flagship for Bulldog football games. Fresno State football fans heard a new voice in 2009 as Erwin Higueros was named the Spanish Voice of the Bulldogs. Higueros has been calling games for over 20 years. For the past 13 seasons, he's been working with the San Francisco Giants as the Hispanic Media Relations Coordinator and been the Hispanic voice of the Giants on radio.
