COACHES BIOS COACHES BIOS FRESNO STATE FOOTBALL ................................................................................................... DREW HILL FOOTBALL OPERATIONS COORDINATOR ..................................... Drew Hill is in his eighth year as the football operations coordinator at Fresno State. His job duties include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the football program, serving as the liaison to members of the National Football League and overseeing recruiting and training table. Hill, who is not related to head coach Pat Hill, comes to Fresno State from the University of Southern Mississippi, where for three years he served as the assistant director of football operations. While with the Golden Eagles, he was a part of a team that won the 2003 Conference USA championship and played in the Liberty Bowl. USM also participated in the 2002 Houston Bowl in Hill's tenure. Prior to Southern Mississippi, the Atlanta native worked for three years as the college scouting assistant for the Atlanta Falcons of the NFL. He was a part of the 1998 team that played the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXXIII. Hill graduated from Southern Mississippi in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in sports administration and a minor in business administration. He married Kristi Moak in the spring of 2005 and they have one daughter, Madison Elizabeth, who was born April 26, 2009. ........................................................................................................................ TONY HILL FOOTBALL ATHLETIC TRAINER .................................................... Tony Hill is in his fourth year as the head football athletic trainer. He came to Fresno in May 2008 after working with the University of California Golden Bear football team as the assistant athletic trainer. Upon completing his graduate degree, Tony worked also as an assistant athletic trainer with the University of Texas Longhorn football team. Tony received his graduate degree from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Ken., where he completed his Master's work in Athletic Training. In his research, he studied the intertester reliability of a lower extremity functional test. Clinically, Tony worked with the football team. Before his graduate assistantship, Tony interned with the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla., working with the football and men's tennis teams. Tony completed his undergraduate education here at Fresno State in May 2003. He has also worked as a summer intern with the Miami Dolphins during the summer of 2002. Tony is originally from Salinas, Calif. He and his wife, Mandy, have one son, Caden. HEAD EQUIPMENT MANAGER ..................................................... ........................................................................................................................ MARK YOUNGER Mark Younger is in his 20th season as the head equipment manager at Fresno State. He is responsible for all equipment matters for the athletics department. A native of Brighton, Colo., Younger came to Fresno State in 1992 from Boston College, where he served as the equipment coordinator for 4 seasons. He also spent time as the equipment manager at the University of Northern Colorado and as the assistant equipment manager for the Denver Gold of the USFL. Younger has served as a national and regional speaker for the Athletic Equipment Manager Association and many regional clinics and conferences. He has also been the equipment manager for the East/West Shrine Game for three years. Mark was recently elected the District 9 director of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association. While at Fresno State, Younger is instrumental in brokering two all-sport apparel agreements with Nike. He and his wife, Paula have have two children, Kelli and Lindsey. ................................................................................................... 2011 82 2012 83
