COACHES BIOS COACHES BIOS ASSISTANT COACHES THE WILLIAMS FILE FRESNO STATE FOOTBALL KEITH WILLIAMS WIDE RECEIVERS COACH ............................................ THIRD YEAR COACHING CAREER Keith Williams joined the Fresno State football coaching staff on February 24, 2009 … coached Jamel Hamler, who earned second-team All-WAC honors in 2010 … Hamler led the team with 812 yards and six touchdowns … led the growth and development of Fresno State's outstanding senior corps in 2009, which was led by second-team All-WAC pick Seyi Ajirotutu … spent the 2008 season with the San Diego Chargers in a minority internship coaching position … prior to joining the Chargers, Williams coached at San Jose City College … Williams led the Jaguar's offensive attack from 2005-2008 as both the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach … in 2001, Williams began a four-year stint as the receivers coach for San Jose State under head coach Fitz Hill … he tutored four Spartans who ranked among the SJSU record books for most career receiving yards … guided Edell Shepherd, who set the Spartan's single season record for receiving yards (1,500) and touchdowns (14), both in 2001 … served as the receivers coach at Solano College in 2000. THIRD YEAR PAUL AN Paul An enters his third year as the offensive graduate assistant coach at Fresno State where he assists in coaching the offensive line. He spent the previous three years as the offensive line coach at Arcadia High School. Prior to that, An was a student- assistant coach at Northern Arizona for a year, where he played from 2002-06. An attended Pasadena City College for one year and prepped at Arcadia High School, graduating in 2001. As a player at Northern Arizona, An was a part of a team that won the Big Sky Conference championship and they beat McNeese State in the first round of the NCAA 1-AA football tournament. In 2001 Pasadena City College won the South County Bowl. An graduated from Northern Arizona with a bachelor's degree in marketing. ........................................................................................................................ HEAD STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH .....................SIXTH YEAR ANDY BENNETT Andy Bennett is in his sixth year as the strength and conditioning coach at Fresno State. His main responsibilities include designing and implementing strength and conditioning workouts for football, women's basketball, women's tennis, equestrian and supervising the department's strength and conditioning center and staff. Bennett came to the Bulldogs after working three years at Boise State, where he served on the strength and conditioning staff. He helped train 14 sports with the Broncos. At BSU, Bennett was also a standout on the football team from 1998-99. He was a second-team All-Big West honoree as a senior, a year he helped guide the Broncos to a 10-3 (5-1 BWC) record, a conference title and a victory over Louisville in the Humanitarian Bowl. The Forks, Wash., native also played at Walla Walla (Wash.) Community College in 1996-97. Bennett received his bachelor's ........................................................................................................................ degree from Boise State in biology in 2001. DEFENSIVE GRADUATE ASSISTANT ............................FIRST YEAR ERIC BROWN Eric Brown begins his first season as a graduate assistant coach at Fresno State and works with the defensive line. Brown played for the Bulldogs from 2007-08 before suffering a career ending injury. Brown shifted his focus to coaching and worked as a student coach with the linebackers while finishing his undergraduate ........................................................................................................................ degree. Brown graduated with a degree in communications in 2010 from Fresno State. He is working towards his Masters in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sport Administration from Fresno State. He is son of the late Bulldog defensive coordinator Dan Brown, who played linebacker on a national championship team at Boise State. ATHLETIC TRAINER ....................................................FIFTH YEAR KELLI EBERLEIN Kelli Eberlein enters her ninth year at Fresno State and third as the Director of Sports Medicine. Eberlein was named head athletic trainer in May of 2007 after serving as the interim head athletic trainer last year. During her first two seasons, Eberlein was primarily responsible for the care and prevention of injuries for the volleyball program while also overseeing softball, women's basketball, women's tennis and equestrian. She also worked with the women's lacrosse team. Eberlein comes to Fresno State after serving as assistant athletic trainer at Oregon State for five years. While at Oregon State, Eberlein was responsible for the care and prevention of injuries for women's basketball, softball and women's soccer. Prior to her appointment as assistant athletic trainer, she served as a doctoral graduate assistant from 1997-1998 at OSU where she was mainly involved with women's soccer. Eberlein also worked with the XCEL Orthopedic Physical Therapy Clinic as a physical therapy aide from 1996-1997. Eberlein earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Fresno State in Physical Education/Athletic Training in 1993. 2011 80 ........................................................................................................................ 2012 Having served as a graduate assistant at Cal State Bakersfield in which she earned her Master of Arts Degree in 1996, Eberlein was responsible for providing athletic training services for 10 men's and women's programs. 81
