Badgers need to find a
way to add sneak to game
UW counting down non-conference season
ot many coaches tell
athletes to be sneaky,
but that's exactly what
head coach Bobbie Kelsey tells
her players on a regular basis.
"We've got to have more
sneak in our game," Kelsey
said. "I tell them all the time ―
you guys have to be actresses
out here. You've got to pretend
like you're doing something
but really you're not doing

that, so the defense doesn't
know what you're doing."
Kelsey is hoping her team
gets sneakier as only three
non-conference games remain
before the Badgers open the
Big Ten season in early January. Wisconsin travels to Pac12 challenger Washington on
Friday before returning home
to host Illinois-Chicago in the
UW Field House on Dec. 21.
PAIGE COUNTING DOWN TO 1,000
● Senior Morgan Paige needs just five
points to become the 23rd UW player
to score 1,000 points in a career.
The 5-foot-9 guard has 995 points in
her fourth season and will join teammate Taylor Wurtz in the 1,000-point
club this season. Wurtz scored her
1,000th point in the season opener vs.
Drake on Nov. 10.
This will be the fourth time in program history that Wisconsin has had
two 1,000-point scorers in the same
season.
BEST IN THE STATE?
● Wisconsin improved to 2-0 against
in-state rivals this season after edging
Marquette 62-60 on Saturday. Senior
Morgan Paige scored a layup as time
was running out to give the Badgers
the win.
UW also downed Milwaukee 85-60
on the road on Nov. 14 and will play
Green Bay at home on Dec. 30.
The Panthers are the only other
team that plays all three in-state opponents as Green Bay and Marquette
do not face each other this season.
The last time Wisconsin defeated
all three in-state foes was 2008-09.
