In 2017, Hogue led the Utes to a 13-9 Conference record, tying its most wins in the Conference since 2012. Before becoming Utah's head coach, Hogue built and mentored Salt Lake Community College's program from 1999-2004. The Bruins won the regional championship and placed sixth at the NJCAA Division I National Tournament in 2004. Hogue served as an assistant at Utah from 1996-99.
