UW's 19 losses were the fewest in school history and its .641 winning percent- age was a program best. WOMEN'S BASKETBALL Women's basketball had the 31st toughest schedule in the nation, according to Jeff Saga- rin's Ratings. The Badgers also had the third toughest schedule in the Big Ten. WOMEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING Senior Beckie Thompson became the Big Ten's first four-time confer- ence champion in the 50 freestyle after breaking the conference re- cord on her way to the title at the 2012 Big Ten Championships in Iowa City, Iowa. WOMEN'S HOCKEY Junior Brianna Decker led the nation with 87 points, record- ing 37 goals and 45 assists, and was named the 2012 Patty Kazmaier Memo- rial Award winner. She is Wisconsin's third recipient of the award in the last four years. 268 MEN'S BASKETBALL >> Following UW's 79-71 victory over Indiana in the Big Ten tournament quarterfinals, Bo Ryan surpassed Hall of Famer Harold "Bud" Foster (265) to be- come UW's all-time career wins leader. Ryan now has 268 career wins at UW and is one of just nine active Division I head coaches to reach the 600-win mark for his career. 8 WRESTLING Senior Ben Jordan's 5-2 victory over Illinois' Conrad Polz at 165 lbs. earned him seventh place at the 2012 NCAA Championships and marked the eighth-consecutive season a member of the Wisconsin wrestling team earned All- America honors. 6,082 4 VOLLEYBALL The Badgers upset four ranked teams in 2011, including two wins over Michigan. It was the most ranked-team wins for Wisconsin since 2006. MEN'S TRACK & FIELD Sophomore Japheth Cato's world-class score of 6,082 points earned him All-Amer- ica honors as the runner-up in the heptath- lon at the NCAA indoor championships. The total, which allowed Cato to break the Big Ten record for a second time on the season, also would have been good enough for the silver medal at the 2012 IAAF World Cham- pionships contested on the same day. 19
