Junior RB Montee Ball matched Barry Sanders' NCAA record by scoring a total of 39 touch-
downs on the year, rushing for 33 scores and catching another six touchdown pass- es. Ball scored at least two touchdowns in each of UW's first 13 games, establishing an NCAA record. His 33 rushing scores broke the previous Big Ten single-season record of 26.

Junior second base- man Whitney Massey finished the season
with a UW single-season and Big Ten-best 22 doubles, leading the nation with 0.42 doubles per game. Leading the team with a .358 batting average, Massey earned first- team All-Big Ten honors and was named to the NFCA All-Great Lakes Region first team.

— and its second in as many years, mak- ing the Badgers' first back-to-back Sweet 16 trips in school history. Wisconsin boasts five Sweet 16 appearances in the last 10 seasons, trailing only Duke (7), Kansas (7), Michigan State (6) and North Carolina (6).
