EYSA is a 501(c)3 soccer club that runs around 500-600 recrea onal players and another 100-200 compe ve players. EYSA saw this partnership as a great opportunity to expand its compe ve side and offer opportuni es our smaller community could not offer its players, coaches, and parents. We bring to Rush a great club that was founded in 1972, a history of mul ple state championships, and a volunteer staff that is second to none. We look forward to learning, implemen ng, and expanding the "Rush Way" here in the Alabama. We are now four months into the process and excitement for Rush Soccer con nues to grow in our community. While we s ll have a lot to do and implement, we are confident Rush will help us get where we want to go. Rob Bowley recently a ended the Rush Summit in July. He brought back so many new ideas and concepts for our board to review. It was a great opportunity to talk with 30+ other Rush clubs, get ideas on programs, and put a face to a name. The guest speakers were remarkable and brought new ways of looking at Social Media, Sponsor's, and Coaching. He said "The Rush Summit is a definite must a end func on each year and we plan on taking the U12 boys out to Colorado next year for Rush Fest." David is currently a Senior Na onal Team Staff Coach for the English Football Associa on, and he will con nue those du es during his me on the Arkansas Rush coaching staff. "David brings a vast amount of experience as both a coach and director to the club," said Michael Surtees, Director of Coaching. Gough, age 33, is one of the youngest UEFA 'A' license holders in the UK. A er re ring from playing at 22 due to injury, he turned his a en on to coaching and has achieved a significant amount already in a career spanning 14 years to date. In that me he has worked for both the Football Associa on of Wales and the English Football Associa on (The FA). In June 2015 in Canada, he realized a lifelong dream when he lined up alongside Arkansas Rush has hired David Gough, Senior National Team Staff Coach for the English Football Association, as an additional Director of Coaching. aRkansas lands england Women's naTional Team sTaFF CoaCh aRkansas Rush For more information about Alaska Rush Soccer Club: www.AlaskaRush.com The Alaska Airlines Cup is the premier club compe on in Alaska and has been around for over two decades in some capacity. The tournament is an interna onal event due to the inclusion of Canadian teams. Based in Anchorage, Alaska, the se ng is second to none with gorgeous views of alpine peaks surrounded by the water of the Cook Inlet. The tournament is preceded by the Alaska Airlines College ID camp which includes between 12 and 16 college coaches from the northwest, west coast, and mid-west. Over 150 players par cipated in the 2015 weeklong camp which is kicked off with a coaches panel discussion for all par cipa ng families. The club would like to extend an invita on to all of Rush to bring a high school age team in for the ID Camp and stay for the Alaska Airlines cup or bring a younger team if interested only in the tournament! Since moving into the women's game a year ago, his role as Head of Individual Interna onal Player Development & Head of Interna onal Opposi on Analysis on the England Women's Na onal Team Technical Staff, means he works alongside the England Coaches helping England's interna onal stars develop the technical, tac cal, social and mental elements of their game.
