Central FC is Trinidad and Tobago's newest professional football club and is the current Na onal and Caribbean Champions. The Trinidad and Tobago Youth Professional League is a developmental league in which all professional clubs are required to par cipate. During the months of April – July earlier this year, the top 10 youth clubs competed in a round-robin fixture which provided an ideal opportunity for further development of both players and coaches. Trinidad and Tobago Rush U13 players were selected to represent Central FC which was coached by Technical Director, Caleb De Souza and Team Coach Brian Bain. "Par cipa ng in this league is aligned to our coaching philosophy as we prepare our young players for advanced compe on," stated Technical Director, Caleb De Souza. Central FC (U13) finished 4th on the table with a record of 8-4-5 and had one of the best defensive records in the league. Although, Central F.C. had only 1 week to prepare for the league, the team management was very posi ve about the performance and a tude of the players. Central F.C. Team Manager, Kevin Jeffrey said, "These young players have tremendous poten al and I expect to see a few of these lads playing at a very high level in the future." At the end of the season, Central F.C. (U13) management and staff held an award and recogni on ceremony for the players with the main focus being the distribu on of the players' evalua ons. During his opening remarks, De Souza explained the importance of the evalua on process and reminded the player that they are responsible for their development and progress not only in soccer but also in life. Furthermore, he stated that he expects this program to con nue and is looking forward to compe ng against the regional Rush teams in a Caribbean tournament. We no ced the presence of dis nguished guests at the event including the Mrs. Minister of Sports and Director of Sport FM radio. Young ladies of TOGO RUSH - Promostars have had a good performance in the semifinals against CECO-Dauphine where we saw good phases of play with scoring opportuni es harvested facing the goalkeeper; final score 0-0. We lost a er the shootout. At the end of the compe on, we finished third with the congratula ons of the organiza on that has enjoyed the par cipa on of our players. We also obtained a cer ficate of par cipa on. In conclusion we had a determined, disciplined and comba ve team during this football gala.
