For more information about Rio de Janeiro Rush Soccer Club: www.BrazilRush.com At just 16 years old, defender Andressa Pereira and Goalkeeper Stefane Pereira, from the Rio de Janeiro Rush, have impressed coaches in Brazil and abroad. They have recently been invited to join the U-17 Women's Brazilian Na onal Team camp. For Andressa, this is the first me in the Na onal Training camp, and she said, "I am thrilled to have this opportunity and it is a great honor to play for our Na onal Team." As For Stefane, this is her second me being invited, as she was called earlier in May 2015 to train with the U-20 Na onal Team. Sefane said, "It is always a privilege being around such elite players and it makes you want to work harder and harder to always make the team." The twins have played for the RJ Rush program since 11 years old, and as of now, the club has produced a massive 17 players to the Brazilian Na onal Team. Technical Director for RJ Rush, Alex Mathias, said, "Congratula ons to our club and players. The recogni on from the Brazilian Na onal team is a direct reflec on on the club's commitment to player development. It also speaks volumes of the players and their dedica on to making it to the highest level they can play." Each year to help fund the program Dream Team Italy, the hosts of the event, put on a raffle to help players and families raise money to pay for the trip. We are excited to announce that this year Sandy Perez, parent of Julian Perez from TX Rush and member of our B13 Rush Select got the special phone call to inform her that she was this year's lucky winner of the Rush Raffle. "I s ll can't believe we won!" Sandy said. Rush raffled off a grand prize of a trip for two to Lake Como, Italy for the Rush Select club fundraiser. Rush raised over $100,000.00 with the raffle to help assist players to embark on an opportunity to compete interna onally. Mr. Omar Perez said, "Not only was this a great year for our son who had a chance to compete against some of the best clubs in the world like Juventus, but to have won the grand prize is amazing!"
