THE ROAD TO THE NCAA TITLE GAME
BU once again proved it was among the elite
programs in college hockey when the Terriers
advanced to the NCAA title game for the second
time in three seasons. BU began its journey to
Minneapolis with a 5-3 win over Clarkson in the
NCAA quarterfinals at Walter Brown Arena. The
third-seeded Terriers then dispatched Mercyhurst,
4-1, in the national semifinal to set up a
showdown with undefeated and host Minnesota.
Despite a great effort, BU fell just short in its
championship bid with a 6-3 loss, but is still the
only Hockey East program to have played in the
NCAA title game.
