COMMUNITY OUTREACH
TERRIERS IN THE COMMUNITY
The Terriers spend much of their time being active
in the community. Besides hosting an annual
"Skating Strides Against Breast Cancer" fundraiser,
they also host clinics, connect with children after
home games and participate in the BU Athletic
Department's holiday reading program. The team
also volunteers with the Special Olympics as well
as at the annual "Making Strides Against Breast
Cancer" walk. In 2012-13, the Terriers adopted
nine-year-old Genny Shepler as a member of their
team after hearing about her tragic fall and desire
to play hockey at Boston University (right).
