CONNECTICUT (CT) RUSH Rush arrives in Connecticut "Wh Rush soccer arrives in Connecticut and make a big splash by establishing 8 teams in it's first go round of tryouts. ere t h e T rails of P CT RUSH is only 6 weeks young. In this short time it has created a buzz on the soccer scene. With over 200 players that preregistered for tryouts, the club was able to establish u9-u12 ages groups for both boys and girls in a very crowded market place for competitive players. The club has players from 13 different towns and the talent is impressive. The coaching staff is highly licensed, with NSCAA Advanced National, Premier and USSF A and B licensed coaches. The club is led by former UCONN player / Yale assistant coach John Salvatore and International Professional coach Prince Ojok. All the right pieces are in place and we hope to have a great kick off to the fall. We hope by spring to open up a few older age groups. Formed initially of many of the top coaches and teams in the area, we are anticipating over 400 players in July 2013, with age groups ranging from birth year 07 to 97. We are ALSO anticipating the addition of many more teams and players by the Fall 2013 season. at h eet , B The Dallas market is buzzing about Rush – We've added big name Directors of Coaching and we hosted our first Open Skills Session prior to Tryouts, which were July 1-3. to V ictory " PAGE 6 SUMMER 2013 Thorsten 'Toto' Schmugge played within the German National Team system as well as several professional teams in the German Bundesliga. He brings his vast soccer knowledge and coaching prowess to Dallas Rush as our Technical Director. Toto has brought in Chad Deering as the Director of Coaching. Chad hails from the DFW area and is widely regarded as the top player ever produced by the Dallas area. After being named a Parade All-American, Chad attended Indiana University and then went oN to play with the US Men's National Team. He was selected as an alternate on the 1994 World Cup Men's Team then played in the 1998 World Cup in France. Chad played professionally in the German Bundesliga as well before returning to the United States to play in MLS for the Dallas Burn. He brings over a decade of coaching experience in the youth ranks to Dallas Rush. We've also recently filled out our leadership staff with powerhouse coaches in D/FW John Gall (Director of Coaching Boys) and Johnny Stark (Director of Coaching Girls)! GO RUSH!
