Badgers persevering
through adversity
UW not backing down from challenges
W
ith a 1-6 Big Ten record, the casual fan
might think the Badgers' conference season has stalled.
But, upon closer look, they
will see that Wisconsin has
continued to fight through
injury, upset and defeat and
will reach the midway point
of conference play a better
team.

"I'm very proud of the team
for continuing to persevere
and be positive in light of the
adversity they're experiencing right now," head coach
Bobbie Kelsey said.
Wisconsin has worked
through the loss of teammates to injury and transfer
to put together a team that
isn't an easy opponent.

Case in point, the Badgers suffered
a 71-60 loss to Iowa in a game that
saw 10 lead changes and eight ties.
Wisconsin overcame a 10-point deficit in the first half to push the Hawkeyes to the brink.
Those challenges will pay off for
Wisconsin this season. "It's only going to help us down the road," Kelsey
spoke of the adversity the team is
experiencing. "We're very happy
with their attitudes and approach of
this tough season we've been going
through."
Wisconsin is set to play its fifth
game out of six that features an opponent ranked or receiving votes in
national polls when No. 7 Penn State
visits the Kohl Center on Thursday.
It will be the second time in two
weeks that the Badgers have faced the
Nittany Lions, and you can be assured
they will leave it all on the Kohl Center floor.
