WOMEN'S SWIMMING
Sophomore Ivy Martin broke the pool record in the 50-yard freestyle
Saturday at the University of Virginia Aquatic and Fitness Center with a
time of 22.36. The time is the best in that event for the Badgers this
season and Martin's third NCAA 'B' qualifying time in the 50 free this year.

The Badgers have made 213 of 274 (.777) shots from the free throw
line this season, ranking first in the Big Ten and eighth in the country.

MEN'S HOCKEY
Wisconsin's defense ranks second in the WCHA and fifth in the nation in all
games at 2.00 goals-against per game, trailing only Minnesota (1.85 goalsagainst per game) among league squads. In WCHA action, UW's defense is tied
for the league lead with first-place St. Cloud State at 2.17 goals-against per game.
