INSIDE MENS HOCKEY
BY PAUL CAPOBIANCO
Fit to be tied
SCHEDULE (2-7-5, 2-5-5)
Overtime is a familiar place for Badgers
T
he Wisconsin mens
hockey team has gotten
plenty of extra game time as
of late, having played three
overtime games in the last
four contests, and six in the
last 11.
Just 14 games into the
season, the team is now 0-15 in overtime and on pace to
shatter the school mark. The
Badgers, under head coach
Mike Eaves, skated to eight
ties during the 200304
season. They also posted
seven ties in league play that
year. All five ties this season
have come in league games.
Overtime has been unkind to the Badgers in recent
years, but last Saturdays effort in the extra frame might

have been the teams best
overtime effort in a long
time. The Badgers had two
golden chances, including
a wrap-around attempt by
junior forward Tyler Barnes
that managed to stay out of
the net.
Its all about finishing
 The Badgers finish the 2012
portion of their season
Thursday and Friday when
Alabama Huntsville comes
to town. Finishing was a
theme at this weeks news
conference, as coach Eaves
mentioned, The only thing
thats lacking, and why our
record is the way it is... we
havent finished, plain and
simple.
