KEEPING BABIES SAFE
Deaths from sudden infant death
syndrome (SIDS) have been cut in half
in recent years. Still, nearly 3,500 infants
suddenly and unexpectedly die each
year. Researchers Fern Hauck, MD, and
Rachel Moon, MD, are working together
at the University of Virginia to reduce
that number even more by reaching out
to parents with potentially life-saving
messages.
