pitch in support of the Bad- gers. Youth teams at or be- low the U14 level are able to participate in the Stars of Tomorrow, which allows the teams to attend a Badger game for free. While at the game, the team walks out to midfield with UW players and stands next to them dur- ing introductions.
After watching the first half from the sideline, members of the partici- pating team take to the pitch during halftime for an intrasquad scrim- mage. After the game concludes, the younger players get to say goodbye to the Badgers, which often means lots of pictures and autographs. Badger players rave about the en- thusiastic young fans and talk about how important the sideline support is. For some of the youngsters, the promotion serves as a reunion of sorts. Some of the young players at- tend Badger summer soccer camp and enjoy seeing Wisconsin head coach John Trask again.
Big Ten play resumes » After opening Big Ten play, the Badgers took a break from con- ference action against Marquette Wednesday and host Cleveland State Saturday. At 0-1-0 in the Big Ten, the Badgers will travel to In- diana on Wednesday, Oct. 6.
