Interior Materials
Interior spaces resonate with the passion and energy of the VCU men's and women's basketball programs. Team philosophy and
inspira on are incorporated throughout the facility with a building-integrated approach to environmental graphics.
In the lobby, main stair, and second floor dining area, a rich pale e of terrazzo flooring, wood paneling, perforated metal, and glass
provides a powerful backdrop for the VCU story conveyed throughout the facility. On the lower level, major finishes include sports rubber
flooring in the strength, condi oning, and dry therapy areas, and porcelain le in the hydrotherapy area.
Upstairs, the team areas feature "lighter" materials, transi oning to a more informal architectural character. The lounges feature
wood flooring and wood wall treatments. Colored translucent panels are used in key areas to provide dis nc ve visual highlights.
Office finishes include carpet le, painted gypsum board, and acous c panel ceilings—complemented by natural wood in key office
spaces such as the conference rooms and the head coaches' offices.
