SAIGE PACHOLOK
WOMEN'S HOCKEY
S
et to walk across the stage and receive her
diploma inside Camp Randall Stadium this
weekend, don't expect Saige Pacholok to be
as phased or awestruck by the moment as those join-
ing her.
After all, it wasn't that long ago Pacholok was just
a freshman recording two assists and helping lift the
Wisconsin women's hockey team to a win in front of
an NCAA-record crowd of 8,263 fans during the Cul-
ver's Camp Randall Hockey Classic.
That outdoor hockey game in 2010, along with a
season that culminated in bringing NCAA champion-
ship hardware home to Madison in 2011, stand alone
as memories Pacholok will cherish from her time
with the Badgers.
"I have two favorite memories," she said. "One was
playing in the outdoor classic my freshman year and
also winning the national championship my sopho-
more year."
A national champion and four-year letterwinner,
Pacholok has spent the year since her athletic eligi-
bility ended working as an intern in the UW Athletic
Marketing office. She has certainly made the most of
her time as a Badger.
Graduating with a degree in consumer affairs, Pa-
cholok is ready to begin a new chapter in her life and
move back to her hometown of Edmonton, Alberta,
where she plans to work in real estate.
