Did you play any other sports growing up? Why golf?
"I also played a lot of basketball growing up. I chose golf, at first,
because I loved the feeling you have when you hit a good shot.
The constant challenge to get better is also motivating."
You were the scoring leader in two tournaments this year, and
three others have led in tournaments as well. What makes this
team so balanced?
"Being a part of this team has been great! We all work so hard to get better
every day and it's motivating for each of us. We're also not satisfied with
what we've achieved and keep setting higher and higher goals."
What is your favorite golf memory?
"Qualifying for the national championship last year was by far my
favorite memory. It was thrilling to play well as a team in the third
round and take one of the spots."
What has been your favorite warm-weather trip and why?
"Our trip to BYU's tournament (BYU Entrada Classic) in St. George,
Utah, is one of my favorites because it is gorgeous out there, the
course is great and the host families are some of the nicest people
we get to meet and stay with."
What can't you leave for a road trip without?
"Definitely my laptop and my phone. Too much schoolwork to keep up on!"
What has been your favorite class at UW so far?
"CBE 320: Intro to Transport Phenomena and Chem 343/345: Organic
Chemistry have been a lot of fun."
What's your favorite thing about being a student-athlete?
"Traveling across the U.S., meeting so many incredible people and playing
a sport that I love while representing the Motion W!"
What is your major and what are your career pursuits?
"Chemical engineering and chemistry. I plan on pursuing a Ph.D. after
I graduate and then a career in industry."
