SOFTBALL ARIZONA STATE and WASHINGTON represented the Pac-12 at the Women's College World Series. The Sun Devils tied for seventh, while the Huskies tied for third. It was the 27th consecutive year the Conference has sent two teams or more to the WCWS. Eight of the Pac-12's nine teams made the NCAA postseason for the second consecutive year. ARIZONA STATE, OREGON, and WASHINGTON all hosted regionals while ARIZONA, CALIFORNIA, OREGON STATE, STANFORD and UCLA went on the road. The Sun Devils, Ducks and Huskies all advanced to the Super Regional competition. Oregon claimed its first ever Pac-12 Championship with a 19-5 league record, going 12-0 at home in Conference play. ASU sophomore catcher Amber Freeman was named the Pac-12 Player of the Year while UO's Janie Takeda was named the Pac-12 Batting Champion after leading the Conference with a .442 batting average. Jessica Moore from Oregon was crowned the Pac-12 Pitcher of the Year for her performance atop the mound. Stanford's Kayla Bonstrom took home the Freshman of the Year honors and UW senior catcher Shawna Wright was named the Defensive Player of the Year.
