Sophomore goaltender Marc Behrend made 30 saves on his way to his first of two NCAA
tournament MVP awards as Wisconsin beat Minnesota, 6-3, at the DECC in Duluth, Minn., to
win the third NCAA men���s hockey title in school history.

HOME ICE: The NCAA men���s hockey tournament arrived at the Kohl Center for the
first time as the Badgers played host to the 2008 NCAA Midwest Regional. Wisconsin
defeated Denver, 6-2, to advance to the regional final.

hockey coach at Wisconsin, the start of a 15-year career that included 367 wins and
three NCAA Championships.

FIVE IS NICE: Head coach Jeff Sauer guided the men���s hockey team to his second
NCAA title with a 7-3 victory over Colgate in Detroit���s Joe Louis Arena. It was the program���s fifth national title.
