UW-WHITEW TER A 2012-13 CAMPS & CLINICS I ntercollegiate sports more than a century old REGISTER ONLINE: http://camps.uww.edu UW-Whitewater has been competing in intercollegate sports for more than a century. The first university-sponsored athletic event was a football game that took place in 1889. N ational C oaches of the Y ear UW-Whitewater has had 19 National Coach of the Year recipients, with representatives in both men's and women's sport programs. Nine of those coaches are currently on the coaching staff here at UW-Whitewater. SPORTS, MUSIC, ARTS AND SO MUCH MORE! Frank Barnes Jen Regan Brady Endl P ostgraduate achievers UW-Whitewater has had nine recipients of the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. The first student-athlete to receive this honor was Scott Hawig in 1996. Lynn Olsen and Kara Krumenauer received the honor in 2000, followed by Peter Katz, Allison Erickson and Tabitha Fendrick in 2002.
