CMU, CU Boulder Announce
New Program Added To
Engineering Partnership
Colorado Mesa University and the University of
Colorado Boulder will add a third engineering
program to their growing partnership, giving students
the opportunity to complete another engineering
degree while remaining on the West Slope.
CMU President Tim Foster and CU Boulder College
of Engineering and Applied Science Dean Bobby
Braun announced the new Electrical and Computer
Engineering program at the grand opening of CMU's
newest building, Confluence Hall, which houses the
engineering programs.
"As you may recall, it was about 10 years ago that
we began offering Mechanical Engineering on our
campus. We followed that successful model and
added Civil Engineering in 2016. We plan to start the
new engineering program next fall," said Foster.
"The University of Colorado is thrilled to expand
our present engineering partnership program with
CMU," Braun said. "Adding Electrical and Computer
Engineering to our existing programs on the West
Slope will broaden the possibilities for future
generations of engineers while building the state's
economic competitiveness. CU is proud to partner
with CMU to grow access to engineering education
across the state."
