Wide receiver Lee Evans broke school records for receiving yards (258) and touchdowns (five) as the Badgers routed 21st-ranked Michigan State, 56-21, in Madison. Jim Sorgi tied the UW record by throwing five touchdown passes.
November 16, 1998 HOT START: The Wisconsin men's basketball team opened up its win over Milwau- kee with a 21-0 run in the first 8:59 of the game, the best start in a game for UW in the Dick Bennett era.

November 21, 1997 DEFEATING THE CARDINAL: The women's basketball team earned a win over its highest-ranked opponent in school history, defeating No. 4 Stanford, 90-82.
November 21, 2006 COACH OF THE YEAR: In his first season at the helm of the UW program, Bret Bielema was named the Dave McClain Big Ten Coach of the Year. He went on to guide the Badgers to a school-record 12 victories in his first year.
