Colorado Mesa Athletics Upgrades and Expands Fleet CMU Athletics added three new buses to the current fleet bringing the total to five and increased the total transporting capabilities of student-athletes and coaching staff to 222. The three new buses are wrapped with photographs of past Colorado Mesa athletes and university graphics. All five buses have been equipped with cellular based Wi-Fi access, electrical outlets and USB ports at each seat. "By upgrading all busses with Wi-Fi and USB ports, we provide the necessary tools for our student-athletes and coaching staff to access information that assists with academics as well as work-related projects," said Colorado Mesa Athletic Director Tom Spicer. "Plus after pulling together and examining all the costs of travel through owning our own fleet versus chartering, we made the decision to invest in our own fleet. We will retrieve our initial investment within the first two years of use." Join the discussion with CMU Theatre and Tomlinson Library The Colorado Mesa University Department of Theatre Arts kicks off its 2016-2017 season with a new initiative to get audience members more involved by partnering with the Tomlinson Library. This season will include four new performances; many based on well-known literature. The Main Stage season consists of Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach, Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, My Fair Lady, which is based on George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion, and 1960s era French farce, Boeing-Boeing. Audience members are encouraged to enrich their theatre-going experience by reading the wonderful books these familiar shows are based on. CMU's Tomlinson Library will have educational materials and items of interest related to each show on display for the month preceding each production with books available for check out. The public is also invited to join a book group, which will read and discuss each of the books, and hear from guest speakers on related themes and play production. The next upcoming discussion and presentation will focus on Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol and will be hosted at Tomlinson Library. This open group date has not been set yet but visit coloradomesa. edu/arts/theatre/library-events.html for the announcement. To check out the book, visit the library's website at coloradomesa.edu/library or text 970.644.6542 to Ask a Librarian.
