impact Because of this … • More than $474,510 was raised in unrestricted giving in Fiscal Year 2014, an 8 percent increase over Fiscal Year 2013. • 1,142 alumni made a gift in FY2014. • the Class of 2014 achieved an 85 percent participation rate on their giving campaign. • 31percent of 2014 reunion year alums made a gift to the annual Fund and/or their Class Fund. This happened … • 50 programs were hosted or sponsored in part by the UVa Medical alumni association in FY2014. • 67 successful matches were facilitated between alumni hosts and sMD15 students through our Host program. • the 155 members of the Class of 2018 were welcomed at the white coat ceremony and each incoming student received a personally embroidered white coat, a gift from the Class of 1965. • More than 200 students and housestaff participated in a Money talks session in 2014, receiving important financial information to help them make informed decisions on matters including budgeting, credit and home financing. • seven students received global health travel awards for a combined total of $4,100 for their travel projects in Guatemala.
