As a fourth year medical student, I've experienced the generosity of our
Medical Alumni Association time and time again. From our White Coat
Ceremony to Match Day, the Medical Alumni Association has supported us
in celebrating many important milestones over the last four years and has
connected us with past graduates in meaningful ways. Their generosity and
involvement in current student affairs has not only enriched my education,
but it also makes me hopeful that upon graduation, my classmates and I
will stay connected, not only with one another, but also with UVA School of
Medicine and the wonderful people who make it such a special place.

GIFTS OF CASh You can make your contribution to the UVA Medical School
Foundation by mail, by phone or online and support the UVA School of Medicine.
ReCURRInG GIFTS You can set up recurring gifts that will be automatically
transferred from your bank account each month for as long as you wish.
MATChInG GIFTS Many companies encourage their employees to make charitable
contributions by matching their philanthropic support. Donors receive credit for
their employers' matching gifts.
SeCURITIeS Use your investments in the financial markets without losing a
substantial portion of your earnings to the capital gains tax by making charitable
contributions, either via an outright gift or a planned gift, with appreciated stock.
enDOWMenT GIFTS Endowment gifts are long-term investments aimed at
securing the success of the Health System for years to come. These gifts are retained
and invested to produce sufficient income to support student scholarships, faculty
professorships, and other important programs.
