Following the adage "practice makes perfect," Baking
& Pastry Arts first-year students received additional
practice in creating chocolates and piping with Chef-
instructor Johannes Busch and peer tutors from the
Center for Academic Support (CAS).
CAS partnered with WIGIS (Wildcat Interest Groups
for Incoming Students) to provide students with this
in-depth instruction, guidance and support from
faculty to improve their skills. Visit CAS online for more
information and like CAS on Facebook.
Seven Girl Scouts visited Chef Jamie Daugherty's Nutrition and Sensory Analysis,
where JWU students demonstrated knife skills and made healthy desserts, steamed
mussels and an assortment of colorful salads. Afterwards, the Girl Scouts created
their own dishes from recipes.
