skill session offereD at Center for aCaDemiC sUpport Following the adage "practice makes perfect," Baking & Pastry Arts first-year students received additional practice in creating chocolates and piping with Chef- instructor Johannes Busch and peer tutors from the Center for Academic Support (CAS). CAS partnered with WIGIS (Wildcat Interest Groups for Incoming Students) to provide students with this in-depth instruction, guidance and support from faculty to improve their skills. Seven Girl Scouts visited Chef Jamie Daugherty's Nutrition and Sensory Analysis, where JWU students demonstrated knife skills and made healthy desserts, steamed mussels and an assortment of colorful salads. Afterwards, the Girl Scouts created their own dishes from recipes. Denver Campus Commencement Saturday, May 24, 2014, 11 a.m. Bellco Theatre, Colorado Convention Center Graduates should arrive by 10 a.m.; seating opens for guests at 10 a.m.
