Zambia ruSh For more information about Zambia Rush Soccer Club: www.africarush.com With the Copperbelt Armature League (CAFA) opening in April, Zambia Rush boys 17 resumed trainings in January to prepare and re-enforce the team a er Captain Mulenga Kabungo, defender Prince Lupando and the 2013 Most Valuable Player (M.V.P) Kelvin Mpemba have le and joined Grinaker FC a first division side on a twelve months loan period. Rush Zambia knows the challenges that come with players wan ng to play for bigger clubs as such loaning such youngsters was the best way for us to allow them to develop further and get exposed to higher levels of football. The technical bench held trials from January 5th ll February 5th adding eight who were recruited from other satellite teams as well as two from the under 15 team whose performances were under spotlight last season. The team has played six test matches with second Division Lubambe Sundown FC, Konkola Mine Police 17 and Awale VK sweeping them with 7-0, 3-0 and 4-1 respec vely. The technical bench has implemented a six weeks off-season program to prepare the boys adequately for the season. Head Coach John Kalengule says, "The boys are responding well to trainings throughout this period and we aim high to challenge for the championship. The two U15 boys were allowed to train with us last season helping the transi on of the new recruitees who are blending well with the rest of the team." Zambia rush passes back! Zambia Rush celebrated interna onal Youth Day on the 12th of March 2014 by dona ng assorted items : Books-90, Boots-12 , 2 Sets of jerseys- girl and boys, 6 balls, 25 bags, baby clothes and toys- 105, small chalk board…to Kenani Community School in Chililabombwe!
