This franchise of US based Rush Soccer has excelled themselves in an area where "angels fear to tread". eGoLi ruSh South aFrica For more information about the Egoli Rush South Africa Club: www.africarush.com Rush Egoli SC hosted a 2 week long coaching seminar for junior players (u6 - u17) and for prospec ve coaches in the Cosmo City and Diepsloot se lements. 800 athletes a ended the seminar over the two week period, considering that only 20 players a ended on day 1. Rush had 150 coaches a end the coaching course; and it was an unbelievable experience for this reporter to see the enthusiasm and commitment shown by the coaches and players, considering where these young people come from and the crosses they have to bear on a daily basis. Rush South Africa are in the process (in conjunc on with Rush USA) of gran ng an independent Rush Franchise in the Cape (RUSH WESTERN CAPE) and another franchise in Middleburg (MPHUMALANGA). There are a further two Rush clubs within the South African organiza on: Nkomazi (This club was created a couple of years before the South African Rush Franchise) and lastly BUT not least a club in Durban (KWA-ZULU NATAL). Rush Egoli FC par cipate in the RCLFA Compe ons. They are in the process of signing a deal with the local municipality for the use of the RUIMSIG ATHLETICS STADIUM. This joint venture with the Municipality will ensure that football development takes place within the jurisdic on of the Roodepoort Municipal area and surrounding areas. This area encompasses a number of squa er camps and in-formal se lements, which are in dire need of the Rush influence. TaJikisTan rush conTinues To parTner wiTh TaJik fooTbaLL federaTion Tajikistan Rush is creating a national Database of Youth Players with the help of Rush partnership. taJiKiStan ruSh For more information about the Tajikistan Rush Soccer Club: www.tajikistanrush.com As the snow melts and grass begins to surface again on the football fields of Tajikistan, players are full of excitement for the year ahead. 2013 provided hundreds of youth with a fantas c tournament (RUSH CUP TAJIKISTAN) to compete along with a coaching course and na onal goalkeepers academy. At the beginning of 2014, Tajikistan Rush has partnered yet again with the Tajik Football Federa on to create a na onwide database for youth players. This will serve the federa on in keeping track of players in their developmental process as well as safeguard against the use of older players par cipa ng in youth tournaments. With the addi on of this structure, planning further opportuni es for youth development will be expedited and achievable. Many thanks again to the Rush Family who make this all possible here in Tajikistan and around the world. event name 2nd annual afdp Tajikistan rush cup event location dushanbe, Tajikistan event date(s) may – July, 2014 event info tready19@acesea.net event details Boys and Girls Youth Teams (ages 10-18) ThaiLand rush finishes shorT season wiTh a sTronG finaLe After a very short season, due to numerous scheduling issues and injuries, the Thailand Rush boys U18 team finished the season with a strong 7-0 victory over the staff team for Grace International School. thaiLand ruSh For more information about the Thailand Rush Soccer Club: www.thailandrush.com 2014 has been a rebuilding year for the Thailand Rush soccer club, as the club saw many strong players over the past three years leave Thailand to return to their home countries. There are currently seven of these former Thailand Rush players who are playing on US college soccer programs. 2014 has been a year to begin working towards developing the kind of quality players, with excellent character, whom the club has become accustomed to. The Rush season was shorter than normal, and only the boys U18 team were able to play this season due to local high school and middle school athle c conference scheduling conflicts. Even though it was a difficult transi on year, the U18 boys team s ll finished the season showing promise of great things to come in the future. It was a young team filled with 16 and 17 year olds who will con nue to grow towards excellence. This U18 boys team finished with a record of 2-5, but showed their poten al as a young team in losing a ght match, 1-2, to Wachilailai, one of the best programs in northern Thailand this year. The Rush boys U18 also finished the season by defea ng the staff of Grace Interna onal School 7-0 in a convincing win, a er several very close defeats. The Rush team also con nued its tradi on of playing the Laho Training Center, a local Bible school for the ethnic minority Laho people. This is a game that allows the Rush team to interact with the local community and culture of Chiang Mai. The U18 Rush boys were victorious in this annual match, 3-2. All in all, it was a short but successful season, and the Thailand Rush soccer club looks forward to future success next year. yesi rush bahamas sends 6 Teams To inTernaTionaL compeTiTions. Since the inauguration of RUSH Bahamas the club has sent 6 teams on international trips. The teams consisted of U-10, U-12 and U-14 teams. yeSi ruSh bahamaS For more information about the YESI RUSH Bahamas Soccer Club: www.yesisoccer.com This year was a big year for us as we proudly sent our first interna onal team to Rush Fest. The kids did very well and won all matches except for the final, which went to penalty kicks. The kids had a blast mee ng the other Rush teams and staff and learning the Rush Way. This year we also sent a u-14 team to IMG Cup where we won 2 games against some of the top 50 teams in the U.S. What a great experience for the club president to experience with the kids as he himself is an alumnus of IMG. Another amazing adventure for our team was our U-10 team a ending Orlando City's tournament, winning 3 games but losing in the finals. A total of 14 goals were scored in the 3 games. To top it all off, the kids were able to watch Orlando City professional team play (talk about a great trip!). We are also planning to send our U-9, U-10 and U-12 team to Disney Memorial Day Tournament this coming May 22-26.However the highlight of our season this year will definitely be sending our U-14 team to Spain for 10 days over Easter to train at Real Madrid FC Academy and play against local professional youth teams. We look forward to this fantas c learning opportunity for the kids and our coaching team! Through our work with YESI we have raised funds for 11 kids to par cipate in these trips free of cost. YESI RUSH is posi vely impac ng the lives of more than 200 children every week including: sponsoring over 1000 hours of football since September, distribu ng more than 6,700 snacks & meals, supplying more than 1,100 gallons of water and giving 660 hours of tutoring lessons.
